About Wes Faulkner

Wes Faulkner is a third-generation Trial Attorney who concentrates in Tort Litigation. Simply put, he helps people who have been harmed by the carelessness of others.

His career began 30 years ago as a prosecutor in the Major Offense Bureau of the Jefferson County Commonwealth Attorney’s Offices. He handled Death Penalty cases, large scale embezzlement cases, and highly publicized political cases, including the bribery case of Attorney General Greg Holmes and Diane Shafer (see story).

Wes Faulkner
In 1993, then Governor Brereton Jones appointed Wes as Prosecutor of the Kentucky Medical Board (see article). From 1993-1995 Wes was the sole prosecutor of physicians for the state of Kentucky.

Since 1995, he has been a Trial Attorney handling trucking accident cases, auto accident cases, medical malpractice cases, premise liability cases, and many other types of complex litigation.

Wes has won multi-million dollar jury verdicts and settlements for clients and he’s done so multiple times. He has an AV rating by Martindale-Hubbell, was selected in 2017 as the Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America, and he was chosen as one of the top 100 trial lawyers in America by the American Trial Lawyers Association. He is licensed to practice law in all Kentucky State and Federal courts, the 6th Circuit in Cincinnati, Ohio, and the United States Supreme Court.

Wes continues to practice law in Louisville, KY, but only on a small number of select cases, so he can focus all of his attention on the needs of his clients.

Professional Organizations


Wes was admitted to and qualified as an attorney of the U.S. Supreme Court in 1994. In 2001, he was inducted as a distinguished fellow in the Kentucky Bar Foundation.

Currently, he is a member of many reputable professional organizations, including: Wes has also held three positions with the Kentucky Bar Association: he served on its Board of Governors from 2001-2002 and was Chairman of its House of Delegates from 2000-2002. He was appointed to the Bar Association’s Ethics Committee and served from 2004-2011.
